Jakarta (ANTARA) - DKI Jakarta BUMD subsidiary, PT JakLingko Indonesia, has officially participated as a partner in the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train (KCJB) ticket payment system. This was marked by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the Main Director of PT JakLingko Indonesia Muhamad Kamaluddin and the Main Director of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi at the PT KCIC Office, East Jakarta, Wednesday (1/2).
"We appreciate the opportunity for JakLingko Indonesia to be able to provide ticket purchases for the Jakarta-Bandung Fast Train which is connected to public transportation," said Kamaluddin in an official statement in Jakarta, Thursday.
Kamaluddin explained that the public has been given many choices in purchasing tickets, including four modes of transportation in Jabodetabek which have been integrated with JakLingko tickets. He hopes that it will be easier for people who use transportation to get mobility using one application and card, including new transportation fleets such as high-speed trains. Through this synergy, JakLingko is optimistic that the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train, which is one of the national strategic projects, will be widely used, especially to reach Jabodetabek and its surroundings.
"We view 2023 as a proud year for Indonesian transportation with the Jakarta Bandung high-speed train operating, as the first high-speed train in Southeast Asia, supported by the JakLingko Indonesia Digital Mobility as a Service (MaaS) 'platform'," he said.
Currently the JakLingko Indonesia application has been downloaded by more than 400 thousand users and is actively used by many MRT Jakarta, LRT Jakarta, TransJakarta users and also by Indonesian Commuter Train (KCI) users and Grab users in Jabodetabek. PT JakLingko Indonesia is a joint venture company of four transportation entities, namely PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda), PT Jakarta Propertindo (Perseroda), PT TransJakarta and PT Moda Integration Transport Jabodetabek (MITJ), which operates in the field of intermodal transportation and tariff payment systems. The JakLingko application and transportation card are currently used to make payments for multi-modal travel tickets for MRT Jakarta, TransJakarta, LRT Jakarta and Commuterline Trains.
